Hello all, I am pondering on the idea of purchasing a K&N Air Intake Kit system for my 1998 Jeep Wrangler 4.0. I have read the manufacturer site and vendor sites that sell them and they claim that there is a significant difference when installed. Here is my question: Has anyone actually installed one and felt a difference? The question is also extended to any other brands that are out there. Do these (cone) filters really make a difference?
Me and my dad put one in his 97 jeep 4.0l, not k&n but another intake system, about the same price. We noticed a difference. Nothing huge tho. a little sound and a tad more power. last month we had to get a new manifold because his had cracks in it so if your having power troubles, dont just go out and buy something when it could be something else wrong. Doing an intake system would be the same as doing exhaust, no major changes but some differences. There are so many other things you can buy on the market to add power. But intake is a good place to start so good for it. Cant hurt nothing but you pocket :]
