Navy jobs with alcohol ticket?
I will be re-picking my job at MEPS next month(switching from reseves to enlisted). 7 years ago i had an open container infraction(not misdomeanor, not felony, not even driving related). i was told the list of jobs i could get were limited because of that. Is it possible to get a waiver or something like that to open my options on selecting a better job?
Unfortunately, some infractions do not have the luxury of waivers. There are certain jobs out there that you cannot have any kind of record for. On a better note, think about what jobs that may be restricted from you and are those the jobs you want? You need to ask your career counselor (or whomever you talk to about this in the Navy) for some examples of jobs you will not be able to select. You may not want them anyway.
If your infraction was 7 years ago, have you applied to the agency where the infraction occurred for a record expungement?
