physics help! about heat conduction!?

A composite rod consists of aluminum and steel rods of identical area of cross section placed in thermal contact end-to-end. The free end of the steel and aluminum rods kept at 100C and 0C respectively. Calculate the ratio of lengths: Length of steel/ Length of aluminum so that the temperature of the junction is at 50C.

Your answer is = k steel/k aluminum

proof:

Q alum = k(al)*A*(100-50)/L(al)
Q steel = k(st)*A*(50-0)/L(st)

Since you are at steady state the heat flowing through the aluminum has to equal the heat flowing through the steel, so;

Q alum = Q steel

k(al)*A*(50)/L(al) = k(st)*A*(50)/L(st)
k(al)/L(al) = k(st)/L(st)

rearrange to get: L(st)/L(al)=k(st)/k(al)
