Do I need new push rods?
I am about to install a set of procomp aluminum roller rockers and idk if I will need different pushrods. The ratio is the same, the new rockers are just a lot heavier and I didn't know if the stock rods could take it.
I would warn against using the pro comp brand alum rockers. Do a google search on pro form and pro comp rockers.
Theres been MANY MANY failures with those cheaper alum full rollers and the bad thing is whern they fail they break at the fulcrum which is where the needle bearings are and the little needle bearings gets tossed inside the engine, falls through oil drain holes and gets into the bottom end. Just 1 rocker failure can and will trash the engine, kill the bearings, crank, etc
Old saying.. Only rich men use cheap parts (if you dont catch onto that, it means the cheap parts will cause you to spend alot more money later on)
The ONLY alum full rollers that I will run on my stuff, install on customer's engines or even recommed are....

Failure rate is too high on all the cheap brands, off brands, and even some of the store brands
We even seen profoam, and pro comp stamp steel roller tip rockers break but atleast they can't send all the needle bearings through engine.
Now onto your question. Most times a rocker swap will not change needed pushrod lenght. On some of the higher end rockers though the pushrod cup is deeper and you end up needing just a touch longer (.050") or less longer than stock pushrod to keep valve 100% centered on valve stem
The stock pushrods are more than strong enough for the rockers, The rockers don't change the pressure applied to the rocker arm. The cam lift, and valve spring pressure is what does that
