Should i switch to synthetic oil 94 Mustang GT?
Well i have a 94 5.0 as my race car its driven every other weekend and usually driven hard. motor has like 80,000 miles with performance parts like ford racing roller rocker arms n e303 cam. its a mild car But i've been using castrol GTX oil in it but now i want to switch to royal purple oil after seeing it hold up well and protect motor much better.
Should i make the switch or is it bad for the motor?
Has your car had any sludge in it before? Sometimes, cars with light sludge begin to rely on it for its seals. If this is the case, you'll want a high mileage oil since they contain seal conditioners.
Otherwise, you'll be fine with Royal Purple as long as you are not going to use Royal Purple for extended oil change intervals (longer than 7500 miles)
