need help with Insulation troubles?
This year I re-insulated my attic installed more vents on the roof. My bed rooms have sloped ceilings I I installed baffles on the outside and added insulation on the other but not packed tightly vapor sheet added but still I have heat loss snow is melting like crazy. I now I purchased the right insulation for the attic and walls anyone have any idea's or suggestions?
When you say attic, I assume you placed the insulation above the ceiling Joists and not between the actual roof rafters. If this is a fact, then you may need more insulation 12" to 15" should be good.
But if you added it between the roof rafters, The baffles should run the entire length of the rafter(against the roof sheathing) then the insulation below that. This lets the air flow freely from bottom to top.
