I had a left side front ball joint fitted on my 96 Corolla a few weeks ago and the car has been pulling to the left ever since.
I took the car to a tire shop to get the tires changed a couple of days ago and the guy at the shop said the suspension on one side of the car was half an inch higher than the other, could this have something to do with only one ball joint being fitted?, should ball joints be fitted in pairs?.
You hit the nail on the head. It's obvious the replacement lower ball joint was taller, therefore the distance from the center of the taper which fits inside the lower control arm Lemgthens the distance to the center of the spindle.
The side with the taller spindle center-line (longer ball joint) will lower the frame-rail on that side. Probably someone got a hold of an off-shore ball joint. Stick with Moog or TRW American made parts
