diferent types of supercharged?
i was wondering how come some supercharged cars has bug catcher scoop and other dont. u know like the 70 dodge challanger of fast and the furious, is there any diferents in hp gain?.. do they make that cain of supercharged for mustang 2005 gt?
There are two types of superchargers; roots and centrifugal. The roots one is the one that sits upon the engine and sometimes out of the hood with the 'bug catcher'. The other one sits in front of the engine like how the alternator does. Now they do make the roots style blower for the new mustang but it does not go above the hood. The reason that the supercharger went above the hood in the fast and furious is for the carburetors and new mustangs have fuel injection. So unless you are a good fabricator, you are stuck.
