Can I legally bypass my catalytic converter on an 89 Sunbird?
Cat converter is shot. I would like to run a straight pipe in its place. I live In N.C is it legal to bypass? The car is 19 yrs old.
... not a chance. Putting a straight pipe to bypass the cat converter is highly illegal in the United States. That doesn't mean you can't do it. It means don't get caught doing it.
