Can i bypass my catalytic converter on my 2000 Ford F-150?
V-6, 4.2L..... can i bypass it, or is there a sensor in it not allowing me to?.... I took it to a shop that wants to charge $1,100 and i only have a budget of about $750.... Open to alternative ideas if available....

I do not wanna bypass it for any other reason other than my truck not going fast than 30/35 mph
Do you know how to weld / use a cutting torch? Do you have access to a gas welder? Yeah, you can cut it out and throw that crap away... you can actually clamp in a section of pipe to fill the gap but, you know the deal, sooner or later you have to pass inspection and fix it right.
