I have owned a 2000 Alero GL sedan for two years now.
For the past eight months the "Check Tire Pressure" light is always on. I have checked the tire pressure, had it checked, and brought it to a mechanic.
I have also had the light cleared by a mechanic as the tire pressure was correct.
The tires are close to three years old now and in good shape.
About four months or so before this started happening I had the front brakes and rotors replaced as they became rusty. The work seems to of been done very well. No other work anywhere close to the wheels since then.
I use the five spoke factory wheels year round as well.
Is this happening to anyone else? Should I be concerned? What are your thoughts?
Make sure you check the Tire Pressure in the Spare tire also. Many times it gets overlooked and can turn the check tire pressure light on in many vehicles.
It also could be that the Re-calibrate procedure was not followed after clearing the light. There is a specific procedure to follow.
