i just put in a new aluminum radiator, water pump, and a 180 degree thermostat...and it is running at 190 degrees...this is in a chevy 350 engine. It is a street car but it has around 380-400hp....Is it safe for the engine getting so hot? The thermostat housing and the radiator hoses are very hot to the touch is that ok....Please give me some good feed back!!! Experts only please. Thanks

The temp is just fine, in fact you should have put a 195 degree thermostat in there but the 180 is fine. Overheating takes place at over 250 degrees.
