Which is better COMP Cams Magnum Solid Roller Camshaft or Lunati solid roller camshaft, I'm looking for power and It's going into a 454ci.
And of course the cams that all of these companys still spend time trying to copy is UltraDyne. Your's truly. Mention us in the presence of most of the upper eschelon pro category racers and most of them will very quietly tell you to STFU.(Especially Circle Track). You read articles about gentle valve closing and no valve bounce...Who do you think pioneer'd that? We did!
IMHO: Comp is nothing more than marketing. 99% of their stuff is not even ground by them. IMHO: I've watched them ruin a couple of used to be GOOD Pro Stock Teams. One of them within approx 6 months of completely switching over to Comp, threw in the towel on their entire Pro Stock program! And this even after 20+ years of wild success. I would guess 99% of their cam help department has never built an engine.
Lunati couldn't grind a consistent cam if their life depended on it as I think they have seeing eye cam grinders. We have checked thousands of their cams and many multiples of the same cam. They are ALL OVER THE PLACE! We've sat back in almost every instance and laughed in disbelief. Their technology is nothing more than being a cam copier.
One thing that I personally do every day that I am willing to bet the rest will not do is offer a money back garuntee. That is because I am 100% certain that the solution I have to offer is the absolute best.
Comp and Looney have their place in the industry. However, I/we're the ones people call when they either have something extra special, or they simply know the value in buying the best with their money. Nobody that has owned a Comp or a Looney and whom I have personally sold a cam to after that fact has ever looked back since.
