Rear camber adjustment on 94 BMW 540iA?
alignment tells me -2 degrees out.. replaced rear tires as insides are bald. was told eccentric rear control arm bushing will help. have h&r lowering kit and bilstein sports all around.
fyi, this is a SPORT optioned car, if that matters. i know there isnt a rear adjustment for this car per se, but is the above true?
i dont live in CA, so thats a non issue. besides, what about cars that are lowered and are daily drivers (like mine)? it is for more than looks.
any suggestions as to where the eccentric bushing can be bought?
I was in the same boat - I lowered my car and the inside of the tires went bald. I replaced the rear control arms with eccentric bushings and it really helped. They're not easy to put in, it will take you a few hours. Make sure you install them 'as directed', you can easily put them in backwards and will have a real fight on your hands trying to put it back together. I also installed adjustable caster/camber on the front. I like the ability to change caster/camber (it can be done very easily from under the hood in minutes - no need to jack up the car) for long drive comfort, normal driving, and high performance turning - also lets you adjust for understeer and oversteer - especially with adjustable sway bars.
