Trouble with my 2.3l Turbo Ford SVO 1987?
I have a 86 Ford SVO 4cyl, with turbo. I'm haveing trouble with lack of power when I'm taking off and at high speed. After the motor warms up it will almost not go at all. I've had to pull to the shoulder and retake off. The electrical systems reads all is good. This has to be a hard part failure. PVC ? Boost cylonid? EGR ??? I have a new fueil filter, distributor cap, wires, ect. The car starts and idles perfect. When Its cold it will take off ok if I give it gas slowly. Anyone have any ideas or where I might go to look ??? thanks
Can you describe the problem in more detail, does it just completely bog down, or does it shake or shudder? Does it make any weird noises? What's the boost gauge doing?
