Fist Car Dilemma...?
Alright im a 17 year old male that lives in Austin..
Im looking for a first car and it can not be over 6k$..
I'm looking for a "fast" car( i know what your thinking but just wait) because i just like the feeling of acceleration and me and my friends race to the speed limit.. i understand im inexperienced but i am a cautious driver and take driving seriously. i would never street race!
Heres the problem im facing..I dont know much about insurance.. My mother is paying for insurance and me and my dad are paying for the car. I dont want her(my mom) to be paying a HUGE amount so what car is decently fast (~200hp+) and cheap?
As of right now im looking at DSM cars(mitsu eclipse gsx or gst,eagle talon), ==V6== camaros(no v8), integra gs-r, honda civic si
Im not sure if those are considered sports cars though and if so which ones? Is the v6 Camaro going to be extra on insurance(v6 model)? If so how much extra would having one of these cars be ??

I got a 1995 Nissan Maxima as my first car. I thought it would be awful like an old grandma car. But little did I know, those Maximas have BALLS!! The same V6 engine that was in the 300 ZX. I raced my freinds' Eclipses, Preludes, Civics, Integras ect and my Maxima was faster. Plus, it had 4doors and seating for 4 of my friends plus me. The 1995-1999 body style has 200 hp. 2000-2003 has around 230 to 250 hp. You can find one of these and they will last you a long time. I am still driving mine and I am at 310,000 miles.
