new pulley on a 2002 grand prix gtp supercharger?
looking at putting a new pulley on my 2002 grand prix gtp supercharger(eaton m90) for a lil more boost. i believe it has a stock 4" pulley on it and looking at putting a 3.6" on it. so i'm wondering what affects it'll have on my engine(stress wise). i've heard that if i put anything smaller on i need an cooler for the supercharger oil. so is this a good idea or not? how much will it cost? can i do it myself or do i need to bring it in?
Your best bet is to contact Eaton directly for information on this mod. as the higher speed of the charger will create higher oil temps but is the engine going to be able to handle the extra boost as the dump gate will need to be reset for the higher pressure ir the pulley change will have no effect at all
