I have a full size 1983 Chevrolet pick up ?
i want to change it from single exhaust to dual i t has a catl. converter
i assume i have to have a converter on all the time so recomondations for a performance converter to work well with a 350 chevy small block i am thinking hooker headers down into a 2 1/2 -3 in pipe then into cherry bomb mufflers all wrapped with exhaust heat tape for noise and heat reduction and a little xtra HP . any knowledge would be wonderful. you give me the best configuration. thanks
I have the 87 GMC PU, 4x4 and just replaced almost everything, when It came to the exhaust I stuck with the stock exhaust manifolds going into a 2 1/2 pipe then into a single, then the cat, then a flowmaster, then split and two pipes out the rear, sound real nice and still passes smog, unless you feel like running 2 cats that's one way you could do it,
