What is the Timing spec for a stock 350?
I'm going to be doing the complete timing for my sbc 350. i wnat to know what the right degree for my motor. it's an all stock bottom end with a fresh rebuilt set of 882 heads with 1.94 valves (if that is relevant) but the cam and block internals are stock. i heard it was like 6-8ยบ BTDC or whatever < thats what i need to figure out is the degree BTDC or ATDC. thanks for the help and llet me know im providing the right info!
With vacuum advance disconnected the timing is 6 BTC. Points set at 16 thousands. Plug gap 35 thousands. Zero degrees can be checked by the crank key way, they should be straight across from each other.
