2002 GTI. I have already installed 3 inch exhaust pipping ( I know a little too big) a high flow cold air intake, a Turbo Smart Supersonic blow off valve, and a Giac high performance chip. But my intercooler is STOCK. Can is harvest an Audi A4 sidemount cooler and replace my sidemount with it? Is the pipping the same diameter? What about anothing after market sidemount? I don't want to spend the cash to install a front mount, plus i worry about compression loss. Please help!

good luck getting any power out of a 4 cylinder but i have seen it done. I work at LC engineering and have seen 100K spent on a 4cylinder that produced ~2K horses. It could only be ran once. It was insane though. But i would up the boost on the turbo, if not able to do it on a stock one get an after market one. Too bad its a new car b/c with the added boost i would tell you to retard the timing and up the fuel-air ratio. Basically all the turbo does is blow air. IT is designed to atomize the air and gas ensuring a more complete burn. however, your exhaust may actually draining power because many new cars rely on the back pressure that is created. Just a thought to ponder.
