What is the proper carb jetting for a ZZ4 fastburn 385 with the optional H.O.T. cam installed?
I've got a GMPP ZZ4 Fastburn 385 crate motor in a '79 Malibu Classic. The engine was running great, and then we added the optional GMPP HOT cam, and everything has gone haywire. The headers glow red when the engine is fired up, even though the engine is already broken in. We've checked the timing, and it's good to go. That leaves the fuel mix. It's topped off with a Holley 4150 H.P. carb (750cfm), with mechanical secondaries. I need to know what the proper jetting is on this thing so I can tune the carb. Also, what plugs are people running with this configuration? Thanks in advance!
Sounds like you're running on the lean side..
Plugs 2 steps colder than what you were running before...
and two steps bigger on the jets....
