Im thinking of buying a repo from a bank with 151,000 miles. Its a black honda 2003.
That is the equivalent of 15 years normal use in just 7 years - yes it is very high an buying it would be a complete gamble as it may do another 50000 with little trouble or be nothing but trouble from the start.
As it was repoed it was probably not well looked after so it is reasonable to expect it not to be in the best mechanical order internally.
The suspension and steering have had 15 years wear and may need major work soon.
Things like the alternator, exhaust, starter motor etc are likely to go soon - that would be normal.
In addition you have to realise that once it has started to approach 200000 miles it will be almost impossible to sell except for spares at a low price.
