Will a GM (Pontiac, Buick, Olds) TH350 bolt up to a Chevy 350 motor without adapters or mods?

Have 91 sbc 350 to go into 83 S10, but need a transmission. Was wondering about the diffeerence between the Pontiac, Olds, Buick Turbo 350 bell housing and the Chevy bell housing.

They make an adapter from sheet steel that works fine and is inexpensive.
