I need a new floor pan for my 1973 volkswagon super beetle convertible...help?
I just turned 18 on Saturday and my dad got me a 1973 volkswagen super beetle convertible....
It's mechanically sound, but the floor ban is rusted out...bad, like I can see the ground when I was driving...only on my drivers side the rest is perfect....
How much is a new floor pan (price range?)
How much is a brace(?) to keep the cars up and balanced?( my dad just said it needs a brace or something????)
How long would It take for a mechanic to put on my new pan?
How much would it cost?
All together, when would I be bow to drive my car, like once I ordered parts and after he fixed it?
Help!
Also everything is perfect except tthis weird alarm noise that's a constant beep noise right when I insert the key...what is that about????

There are some good articles on how to to the job.
Here is definitely one I would recommend which covers the Heater Channels

with respect to Floor panels

and

To do the job, you will require a MIG welder, however the actual task is not to daunting if you have the right equipment.
If you do not have the correct equipment/facilities available, then I would suggest you do not try it yourself, but rather go out and get someone to do it for you. Shop around, you may find that the costs vary from body shop to body shop. Also look at you buying the panels and the body shop fitting them (generally works out cheaper than if they must source and provide the panels).
How long it will take will depend on the amount of repair work other than on the replaced floor pans.
