I have a sunl go kart and the fuel will not get to the engine, but if I pour it in the Carburetor it works.?
My 2 seat Sunl Go Kart will not turn on unless I pour the gas straight into the carburetor and by the time I get it to start moving it shuts off. It wont operate if I try to let it run by itself. The engine turns over but doesn't start. It has been sitting in the Garage for 1 year and I have cleaned the Carburetor with throttle body.
Is the gas fresh? Gas starts to go bad in a month to 6 weeks, so if you have 1 year old gas in it, it's not going to run. If fresh gas, is it getting to the carburetor, but not to the engine?
Did you take the carb apart when you cleaned it? All of the ports and jets need to be cleaned. Just spraying carb cleaner into the carb will not get the job done. It wouldn't hurt to put a kit in it too. Around here, they cost around $8.00.
