Homemade Go Kart Help please?
I'm 14 and am going to try to build a homemade go kart because I'm tired of my sand rail and I want to drive something I made. I'm looking for parts that are easy to install and use, but parts that are also high quality because I don't settle for anything less... ( I'm a KTM guy ) I need a list of parts that are compatible with each other. I also would like independent suspension... My biggest concern is the motor. I need something very powerful, not a 5 hp vertical shaft lawn mower engine. Please help, because this will be my first attempt. Thanks
Since you're only 14, I supposed you don't have any welding experience. Then it is better that you buy go kart kits that would provide the basic parts with instructions. As for the suspension and the rest, you will have to add on your own but it wouldn't be difficult to find how to add suspension through google. This would give you a foundation before you build a kart from scratch.
