Is there a specific name for...?
You know that children's game where you take a bit of string and make a cat's cradle, the cup and saucer, Jacobs ladder, and etc. with your hands?
I was just wondering if there was a formal name for the bit of string that is used while playing this game. I'm writing up a short story with a character that plays this game a lot and I don't want to make a blunder of it, so I was hoping that maybe there was a universal name for it.
Any ideas?
