Many Parts Leather

I'm the "flesh" eater. While I consider it completely natural for myself to eat organic, free range and hormone-free meat on occasion- I respect vegetarians and admire some of principals vegis have that support their decision. While I don't gross out upon seeing a chicken "carcass" I understand why someone who doesn't eat meat would. It doesn't insult me.
Because of my business (unpasteurized veg table juices) and my associations people often assume I'm a "kindred spirit" and am meat free.
So I'm smitten by a vegan Goddess and am feeling self conscious as I'm about to ask her out. I have a suede jacket, many leather shoes, and a big old leather couch I'm hoping to sit her on soon. My sense of authenticity makes me want to let her know this part of me right off.
I'm balking at that- in fact I sometimes think I won't ask her out because of it. What to do? How would you wish a suitor would convey?
