Is there anyway to estimate horsepower gain?
im looking at a 2001 honda prelude (base) and id like to know if there was some way to tell how much HP all these parts would add.
AC AutoTechnic Cold Air Intake
Megan Racing 4-2-1 Stainless Steel Headers
Megan Racing N/A Series Catback Exhaust
AEM Cam Gears
Edelbrock Throttle Body Spacer
Unorthodox Racing Pulley Kit
Even a realistic rough estimate would be helpful.
There's not really anyway to estimate the gain from those. Each car will act differently to upgrades than the next car. Factors like engine wear and condition will play a role in how much power you'll see. You'd have to get a before and after dyno done or just try and guess with your butt dyno.
Check your state laws about those AEM cam gears though, in some states those are illegal (if your caught) and can lead to the car being impounded or worse, crushed.
Instead of the Edelbrock Throttle Body Spacer & the Unorthodox Racing Pulley Kit I'd go with a Camshafts upgrade to go along with the cam gears, that'll show some nice power increase. Also look into getting a better intake manifold.
