Motor Mount Inserts
unable to find out how to lower the spare tire on a 1999 Ford Ranger?

There is a small motor mounted next to the spare tire, can i somehow short circuit it to lower the spare tire ? I have a long key but there is no place to insert it. this is on a 1999 Ford Ranger, short wheel base and a stepside.

Page 142 of the owners manual explains the key and how to lower tire, etc. If you don't have a manual go to www.flmowner.com
