What is the best way to break in a pair of glass packed mufflers without having to drive them around for months? Ive heard that if you backfire the engine really hard ittl blow some of the fiberglass out of them and make them rumble a little better but couldnt that potentially damage the engine? Ive also heard that if you spray some water in them and the run the engine it will help the fibers to decompose faster. Whats a good method to do this quickly so I can have a loud exhaust without breaking the law. (in Idaho where I live it says you have to have a muffler, it does not specify what kind or what condition it must be in.)
FIRST , Glass pack mufflers do not have fiberglass in the. the trem glasspack is from the internal design of the muffler. the inside baffels are designed like an hourglass. the disign is holding back some exhaust pressure, and forcing it through special designed baffels, which give it that special. glass pack mufflers, were also called hollywood mufflers, because they were introduced in the movir thrunder road. no way to break that inn, for more sound.
