Will the blow off valve work?
I kow this is a really dumb question but I've been thinking about putting a turbo on my engine and I was going to buy the intercooler and blow off vlave kit seperate and having them installed before the turbo itself. I was just wondering if the blow off valve would still make it's hissing sound even without a turbo installed? If anyone could answer me this it would be great.
a blow off valve releases built up pressure from the turbo into the atmosphere when the throttle body is closed (acclerator off)
the hiss is the from the air from inside the turbo. so no, you cant even put one in before.
