How many times should you have to open bleeders to bleed brakes?
I just put a new master cylinder on my car. The bleed kit that came with it had cheap plastic plugs that stripped as soon as I tried to use them, so I just skipped bench bleeding them. I put the master cylinder on, and attempted to bleed it, but no brake fluid flowed through.
I then went and bought a better bench bleeding kit that fit, and bench bled the master cylinder.. But now I suppose I have air in my lines.
Would this be the only reason my pedal goes all the way to the floor and doesn't stop the car at all. The pedal was normal before I took the master cylinder off
I tried bleeding each wheel about 10 times each. On two of them, the first time I opened the bleeder, a lot of fluid came out. But after that, nothing is coming out.. And I'm not even seeing any air bubbles going through the plastic tubing I put on the bleed screw into a clear container of brake fluid.
So do I just have to keep bleeding, or is there something else that could be wrong?
