Problems with my 69 Chevy truck not starting all the time?
My truck will occasionally not start out of the blue. I have not found any sort trend of when it's going to happen. The problem is when I turn the key nothing happens, like there is no power or a dead battery. I have checked the battery and have replaced it, and there is always enough volts that should at least crank the engine. Some times if the truck is cold it will enable me to crank it a few times and then all of the sudden it acts dead again. When this happens, I can jump start it, and it cranks right away. I have changed the battery cables too, checked the alternator, and I have not done anything with the starter/solenoid, that is my next option depending on what kind of answer I get on here if it sound like a short in the solenoid or wires to the starter. I have also changed out my ignition switch, neutral safety switch, & tumbler. Everything I have done so far, fixes the problem for a while, but then it always comes back. PLEASE HELP!!! THANKS
