What should I get 04-05 Monte carlo ss, Pontiac Boniville SSEI, Gran Prix GTp, Impala ss, or 06 G6 GT?
Please dont mention any other car I did not mention in my questions because I got a good deal on any of these models. All the cars are supercharge except for the G6. What is your opinion on which one you would get and why? Also, off all of them which one does better in 0-60 or in the 1/4? I am leaning more towards the Monte or the Prix.
This is great information. I did not know that you needed premium on the SS, that really pushes me away from purchasing it. If anyone else has anything to say please do so. Thanks
Also does antyone know the 0-60 and 1/4 times on these cars? I know the GTP is like 6.5 seconds in the 0-60. I especially want to know the Monte SS times.
For overall reliability, handling, and fuel economy, I would, without hesitation, suggest the G6 GT.
Monte Carlo SS- has received extremely poor side impact ratings. The supercharger will not only cause more stress on your engine, it will also provide poor fuel economy. In addition, the GM 3800 S/C has been know to have it's problems.
Boniville SSEI- A very attractive vehicle, suffers from poor fit and finish, in addition to poorly made electronics. This was also a low production vehicle (in comparison to other vehicles in it's class) and thus has the possibility of harder to find used parts.
Prix GTP - Same as Boniville, except parts are much more common
Impala SS- Assuming you mean the last generation SS (supercharged), this vehicle not only has the same issues as the Bonniville's supercharged engine, it also suffers from pedestrian looks and astoundingly cheap interior materials.
G6 GT - Coupe, sedan or convertible, this is a very attractive vehicle. Great handling, economy, fit and finish, and (so far) reliability. A vehicle I would not only suggest, but my husband is considering for a future car purchase.
Hope this helps!
