HI i have a stock 1997 eclipse gst its completly stock and it has 104k on it. The turbo runs very strong and sounds strong to. I had the whole car checked out and all is well and it also passed the vigorous massachusetts inspection. Like i said it's bone stock so i just wanted to know what i should do to it?(cold ait intake,aftermarket bov,headers,full catback exause with a 3 or 4 inch tip..........) please anything that you have in mind will be helpfull. Someone suggested a turbo timer is that needed? Im not looking to race it im just looking at performance upgrades! Thx alot
a turbo time imo is a waste of money...y spend a 100+ bucks on a little box that does the same that you can do. all a turbo timer does is run the engine after youve turned off the ignition for a predetermined time that you set. so basically you could just sit and let your car idle with u in and save yourself some money.
now to answer your question. you could do an upgraded turbo, manifold, bov, wastegate, fmic, piping, full exhaust would be a must with this....up to 3'', wideband o2, a good boost controller and a good tune. that would prob do you just fine if your not looking to race. plus it would give you one hell of an increase in power.
