looking for ways to improve overall performance, horsepower, and look of my 2006 honda civic si?
i'm considering oem foglights (or are there better looking/ performing third party ones?), a bass system (how big & what type?), 18" racing tires (what brand of rims/ tires?), a nos system (which type of holly?), a turbocharger (which type?), a red led understrip, a k&n cold-air intake system, a magnaflow exhaust system (anybody know of one that will add more horsepower? this one claims about 5 i think), and hawk performance street brakes (better brand out there?). are there any ideas of of something else i could add to improve my vehicle? thanks!
Well, you've probably got about 10k in upgrades listed there if not more....lol. Are you more concerned with speed or looks? I would worry more about looks than speed with a honda civic. No matter what you do to it, an evo or sti will still stomp you.... I have an 02 si with a supercharger and I can keep up with evos and sti's, but a couple upgrades on there end and they would zoom right by.. If you want 18's you're gonna have to spend a lot of money on them if you want them to be light. I would get a nice looking 16" racing wheel. Rota maybe. Light and the retain their value. I would skip the bass system for now. If you want one that wont be too heavy, get a 10" mtx or kicker and make your own box so it fits in the corner of your trunk out of the way.. NOS can get expensive to refill too... If you are gonna get a turbo or supercharger, don't get a cheap ebay one. Find a sight like 8thgencivic.com or something. They have used kits that people just don't want anyone for good deals. I personally like Greddy exhaust. I would look at getting a chip. You could get a carbon fiber hood and paint it to match your car to reduce weight. Fuel rail.
