How to fix a fuzzy screen on TV?
My roommate was watching the TV last week and pushed a button the remote (she's not sure which one) and the screen when fuzzy.
The remote is not the original, as the TV was originally her sister's and she lost it. We have tried changing the input with no success. The remote has never fully worked right, it's just a universal one and the TV is a flat screen, not flat panel that is probably 10 years old. Does anyone have any advice on other things that could be wrong, or other buttons/options to try? We have gone through the menu and tried most of the obvious things, unplugged it, and triple checked that the cable cord was still properly attached. No matter what channel it is one, the screen is the black and white static fuzz. All other TVs in the house work fine. Any help is greatly appreciated!
This is usually an indication that you have some other input device connected to your TV(like a VCR) that is turned on and not on the correct channel. For instance if you have your VCR hooked up to your TV and it must be on Channel 3 to view the VCR, every other channel will be fuzzy because of the interference from the VCR.
