I want to start working on a project car. My budget is $30,000. My goal is to have a 500+hp vehicle, somewhat street legal (will enter appropriate sponsored races, and will drive on weekends). I would like to go turbo with this car, but if there is an easier/cheaper way to get that power, or a turbo won't work with it, then I can manage. I'm not sure what type of car to use, either.(ie. american muscle, import, etc.) Now, I don't really care for hot rods' appearances (sorry), but I like the body styling of an older camaro. The engine for american muscle, that I would like to use would be the Chevy 327 small block (5.7L). As for imports, I don't really know whats good to start with. With this budget, I want to give it a nice paint job, body kit (if any), power, suspension, etc.
