What would cause a 350 sbc to run cold on one bank and not idle?
I have a 350 sbc with vortec heads 600 cfm edelbrock carb, headers, proform roller rockers, gm performance intake and silvolite pistons .040" over. when I start the car it acts like it is starving for fuel, then will rev to about 2500-3000 rpm until stumbling, then only will stay running if the throttle is pumped quickly, it will not idle and the 1,3,5,7 bank is hot, while the 2,4,6,8 bank is cold ( judging by the temp on the headers) vacuum reads 15" while revving and stumbles off to near zero, ( this reading was taken off the pvc port on the carb, is this an accurate location?) I am stumped and need all the help I can get! Thanks.
I have the firing order correct, would the distributor being off one tooth make it only fire on one bank tho?
My guess is the carburetor needs to be adjusted. Also, check for a vacuum leak
