Several factors to consider here. If you simply want to be able to "purge", which is just ensuring air is removed from the nitrous lines, Summit and Jegs both sell a show kit that runs a small nitrous bottle to a purge solenoid, and you won't have any nitrous running through your engine. Now onto actual Nitrous Kits.
there are two type of nitrous kits. Wet and Dry. First, lets talk about a Dry kit and it disadvantages. A dry kit simply introduces a shot of nitrous into your intake system, and the cars PCM will compensate that shot of nitrous by adding fuel. This can be hazardous depending on how responsive your PCM is, and how fast it can add that extra fuel. If it's not so good, then detonation can occur, and I have seen intake manifolds burst wide open because of this.
Now Wet Kits. These in my mind are the best route, because it introduces a mixture of fuel and nitrous, and the PCM doesn't have to compensate. this is done by running a nitrous solenoid and a fuel solenoid, which both pump their respective fluids into a nozzle that will mix them together, and introduce the mixture to your intake system, almost always before the throttle body. Again, Jegs and Summit carry several kits that contain everything you will need to install this.
Other things to consider are a powerful ignition system, switching to colder spark plugs, rev limiting, adjusting your ignition timing, and throttle switches to activate the nitrous, as it should only be activated under full throttle.
