1996 Ford Explorer How do I disable the security system so I can start the vehicle?
How do I disable the alarm so I can start the vehicle. I have the key for the ignition and the door? I'm pretty sure it's the factory security system. I haven't gone out to look at it yet. It has electric locks. Is there a pattern with the ignition like two on one off or hit the door lock in a sequence. Pull the fuse in the fuse panel for security only. I know theres an ignition disable thing somewhere under the hood that pertains to the ignition, could I override that if I can find it. Help!
That's not a factory alarm if it's a 96 that didn't start from the factory til 98 maybe some early 97s.
