Yes SPT unit will give you quite a bit of the noise but the filter is disposable so you have to buy a new one every once in a while. Cobb Tuning and Perrin Performance also sell intakes that they claim will not mess with MAF readings so they are safe without tuning. Both of those come with washable filters too. I like the look of the Perrin one with the bright red filter and a choice of different colored(blue,red,black)silicone tubes. I would give either Perrinperformance.com or Rallitek.com a check and may be call to chat with a pro on modifying your car. There are other great vendors and tuners but the two I mentioned are local to me and I have gotten great info from them plus they love to talk cars with people.
