i am buying a crx and has been my dream car to muscle up and i am not rich but am not cheap when it comes to my dream car but anyways it has a bit of surface rust nothing serious its a 5 speed but the motor in it is got alot left in her but not interested my cousins husband is the one selling it to me after me beggin him literally for about 6 years now he has kept the body clean he says that it wont stay runnin and i have to spin something internally i want to work on getting motor then style but all original nothing that someone has like in my town everyone has civic's,integra's and they are running 2.0 DOHC vtech's and 1.6 DOHC vtechs in hatchbacks noone has a 2.2 DOHC V-tech the only crx around my town is nice but is not a swapped motor its the original with like 6-7 thousand under the hood and a super charger
No. Many modifications would have to be done. The sub-frame has to be notched out to clear the engine block. New motor mounts have to be welded in. You'll have to rewire the engine compartment, and put in custom CV axles to handle to new horsepower. There are several other things that has to be done to do this. Once the engine is in, you will have to cut a large hole in the hood since the 2.2 sits a lot higher. If money is no object, and you have months for the car to sit while being worked on, have at it. Otherwise I recommend using what you have.
