Question about '99 Mercury Cougar?
If you are familiar with the car, then you would know that there is an overhead light bar containing these lights: a wrench(service needed), a red snowflake(freezing temp.), an orange snowflake(could be freezing), an encircled exclamation point(brake pad wear), washer fluid low, door ajar, and a bulb(tail/brake light out). Now, My brake pad wear light has been on since I got the car. I have had them checked numerous times, and they are still good. The wrench light came on because I had corroded spark plug wires, which I had fixed. I would like to know how to turn these lights off. I tried to have Auto Zone do it, because they can turn off your check engine light, but they couldn't figure it out. I couldn't find anything in the manual. Help please!

I been having same problem with my 99 cougar to... u just answered my question lol =]... well u should try checkign the brake fluid nd all? I will never buy a 99 cougar again cause its giveing me way too many problems.. its luks col nd all but not worth the time to fix all of its problems..... also do u hear like a grinding noise when u push on the brake? heres a site that took me 4 days to find lol.. it has the 99 mercury cougar manual on it nd it helps me out alot!!!!!! hope I helped...
