What can i use to clean a MAF sensor for Nissan QG15 and throttle body.Where is the throttle body located.?
my car does not idle and has no power. it is also producing black smoke. what could be the problem. no engine light on dashboard.
The throttle body is located at the enterance to the intake manifold. Follow the air filter tubing from the filter to the engine, where it ends is the throttle body.
CRC sells a product specifically for cleaning MAF sensors, it's available at autozone, pep boys, etc.
Your car is running extremely rich, not burning oil. Are you sure your car has a MAF and not a MAP? If your car has a MAP look for a broken vaccum line going to the MAP sensor, vaccum leaks or a bad sensor. These are common issues that lead to problems like yours. If there is indeed a MAF, a failed MAF can give you similar symptoms, cleaning it may help, but typically if things are as bad as you describe, it's beyond saving.
