what would cause there be oil in the inner air cooler of my vw 03 passat 1.8T?
the emissions light came on and it is calling a code for either a bad o2 sensor or a mass vacuum leak.
there is oil all over the bottom parts of my engine
the car seems fine in gear eccept at a stop i have to give it gas other wise the emissions light blinks and the car starts to chug and this also happens in park
there is oil in the inner air cooler and a very little amount in the tube that is connected to the throttle body
the emissions problem is more than likely the catalytic converter...the oil in the intercooler is from the turbocharger. the turbo will eventually have to be rebuilt of replaced.
