What rights do I have being a victim of false advertising?
I bought a car from a Saturn dealership about a month ago. It was a certified 2004 Saturn ION. Yesterday, I come to find out that my car doesn't have ABS or traction control as promised by the sales rep or the window sticker (the paper that hangs in the back seat window that tells you the features in the car you're buying.) I've contacted Saturn many times, and I just kept getting the run around, making it seems like "Oops, our mistake. It's your problem now. Nothing we can do about it now." Their attitude about this whole thing make me boiling mad. What options do I have since the car cannot have ABS or traction control installed since it was built not to have any? Will they give me a new car or will I be fighting this thing in court?
Before you go to court, call the Attorney General's office for whatever state you live in, then regardless of the outcome of that call, go to the dealership and tell them that you demand satisfaction in this matter and that you have already contacted the the A.G.'s office about them and if they fail to rectify this wrong, you will retain a lawyer and sue them.
