Will SBC 202 heads fit on a Vortec 350?
I have a 1997 Chevy with a Vortec 5.7. My buddy has 202 heads from an old carbuerated 350 and I was wondering if they will work on my truck
The reason I need them is because I plan on a sort of agressive cam. So you would recommend porting and polishing my heads? What would I do about the valves?
They will not. Intake flange angle is different. Aside from that, the older heads won't touch the Vortec heads in terms of flow. Performance loss and BAD idea all around!
