Turbo Upgrade Mpg

Turbo Upgrade Mpg
Does anyone know the MPG of a Genesis coupe after a turbo upgrade?

So I've been looking at the genesis for a little while and I'm still trying to decided. I've seen upgrades for the turbo on the 2.0 claiming that they will make 400-500 hp. so I'm wondering other then the obvious fact that the extra boost pressure might drop the life of my engine, how much MPG will it drop by. My guess is that its gonna be in the low 20s max but if anyone has already done it can you tell me the real numbers.

Most people that turn a 200HP car into a 400-500HP car don't care about MPG, afterall they just put $10-15K worth of parts/labor into the car. As the 1st post said, its debatable how much power the engine and transmission can handle before you start having problems. One thing we can guarentee is that fuel economy will plument into the high teen's and the car will not be reliable long term. I suggest that you have a 2nd mode of transportation available, major modification is fine for a pleasure use vehicle, but if it's how you get to work and school everyday you'll want a backup plan. As I said, most people tuning cars to high HP levels aren't using them as a daily driver, so they don't care about MPG's. My Suzuki GSX-R750 gets 40MPG on the street, but when I'm on a road track that figure can drop to 20MPG or worse. So, it also depends on how you are driving the car. And please if you are upgrading the engine, don't forget to add some drilled/slotted rotors with a big brake kit and new suspension components to make the car handle proper at high speed (120+MPH)
